SummerTour is a family-friendly five-day bicycle tour along Michigan’s West Shoreline in 2019. The tour this year features routes on roads and the Hart-Montague Trail all from the convenience of a single camping location, John Gurney Park Campground in Hart, Michigan.  Bring your road bike.  Bring your mountain bike.  Bring your dirt bike.  Bring them all.

The tour will begin on Wednesday, July 10 and end on Sunday, July 14. Camping will be available on Tuesday, July 9 after 4PM at no additional charge.

Daily rides include long and short routes with maps and cue sheets. During the tour you will travel through these small Michigan west coast towns: Ludington, Silver Lake, Pentwater, Scottville, Hesperia, Mears, Shelby, New Era, Rothbury, Montague, White Hall and Hart. We will also take you up and down the paved Hart-Montague trail.

A few points of interest are: Bortelli’s fisheries, Old Hamlin, House of Flavors, Cherry Point Farm Market, Stony Lake Cafe and the walk up ice cream window at Daniel’s Restaurant.

This is primarily a tent camping tour, with provision for some RV’s (for an extra fee).  Be ready to “ride your own story.”  Take your bike anywhere.  Do your own thing.  We’ll be in the same campground at the end of the day.

Included in the basic fee are tent camping facilities, route maps, SAG service, and meals. Dinners Wednesday through Saturday, and breakfast Thursday through Sunday are provided and served in an inclosed facility at the campground. We have our own campground hosts to help you with questions and provides snacks in the afternoon after riding and again in the evening around a campfire.

SummerTour travels to different places in Michigan each summer.
