Living Sustainably Along the Lakeshore- Green Commute Expo
The Macatawa Area Coordinating Council (MACC) will be celebrating Green Commute Week this year May 12th-18th, and as part of the week’s activities, we will be hosting a “green commute expo”, highlighting the importance of choosing alternative forms of transportation. The expo will have a short presentation about the different types of green commute options in the Holland/Zeeland area and the role transportation plays in the 40-Year Community Energy Plan. A few “Green” alternative vehicles will also be on display!
The Green Commute Expo will include bike tune-ups, and safety checks provided by local bike shops, so make sure to bring your bike!
Following the presentation, a leisurely family-friendly ride will leave from the Holland Energy Park and head to Windmill Island.
