HUB Fest 2023 Rider Guide

Saturday: 06/10/2023 HUB Fest Schedule. 

6 to 7 am: Volunteer Check in & SAG support check in 

8:00 12:30: WLEN on Air 

7- 11:00 am: Registration open on site in small LMB tents 

8:00 am: Local expo booths open 

8:15 am: Opening announcements from LMB 

8:30 am: 60 Mile Gravel start 

8:45 am: 60 Mile Tarmac start 

9:00 am: 40 mil Gravel start 

9:00 am: SAG stations/support open

9:15 am: 40 Mile Tarmac start 

11:00 am: Kiwanis Trail Adventure Start 

12:30 pm: Food trucks open 

11 am – 1: pm: Kid friendly event time in the park Bounce house and other things.  

1:00 pm: Beer tent opens 

1:00 pm: DJ’d Music 

2:00 pm: LMB announcements on the stage and Velocity wheel giveaway. 

2:30 pm: Lazy River Band  hour set 

3:30 pm: LMB closing comments 

4:00 pm: SAG stations/support  close and food truck close. 

3:30 to 5 pm: Lazy River Band 

5:00 pm: Beer garden closes 

6:00 pm: Event ends.

2023 HUB Fest Event Scope

We are the League of Michigan Bicyclists. Gravel, Road, Mountain, Rail Trail, Casual, Racer, Young Rider, we advocate for all, to Make Michigan Bicycling Better. Choose from one of HUB Fest’s distinct routes before coming together for an evening celebration in historic downtown Tecumseh.

The Hub Fest After-Party will feature local food trucks, Michigan craft beer in the beer garden, live music, and fun activities for youth.

Thank you for riding with the League of Michigan Bicyclists in 2023! Event proceeds fund LMB’s mission to make Michigan bicycling better for everyone in Michigan. Proceeds support LMB’s Micro-Grant Program to help fund on-the-ground advocacy work that promotes safe bicycling, especially among youth and underserved populations.

Kiwanis Trail Adventure (3, 7 or 15 mi)

A car-free and cost free ride along the Kiwanis Trail.  We ask that you make a donation to the LMB when registering and make sure to purchase food and drinks after the ride to support the LMB. 

3, 7 or 15-mile options.

Paved, car-free, family-friendly route along Kiwanis Trail bike path.

Bike skills course and other activities at St. John’s Church, located at mile 3.5.

SAG stops.

Minors MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Food and beer tickets available for purchase at After-Party.

Classic Gravel (40 or 63 mi)

40- or 63-mile dirt and gravel loops on some of the most remarkable roads in Lenawee County.

Group start.

Marked route, map, and SAG stops.

Short (40 mile) or challenging long (63 mile) route options.

Access to After-Party, including beer tent and food truck vendors.

Great for both beginner and expert gravel riders.

40 or 62 mile road routes that climb the Irish Hills and take you through beautiful rural countryside.

Rolling start.

Low traffic paved roads that climb the Irish Hills and take you through beautiful rural countryside.

Fully supported (marked course, rest stops with water, electrolytes, and light snacks, mobile SAGs).

HUB Fest After-Party: 1-6 p.m.

The HUB Fest After-Party is not to be missed! It will feature local food, craft beer on tap in the beer garden, food trucks, live bands, and fun activities for kids and adults. Food and beer will be available for purchase on site. It’s going to be a blast!

Food & Beverages

Folks will have a great choice of local on-site food vendors during the HUB Fest After-Party, including Tecumseh Brewing Co. The beer garden is where you enjoy a cold pint of Michigan craft beers during the HUB Fest After-Party while you talk about the days routes. Food and beer can be purchased during the After-Party.

Safety Requirements

  • Helmets are required every time a rider is on a bicycle
  • Riders must carry spare tubes and be able to change a flat
  • Riders must have at least one and preferably two water bottles on their bicycle
  • Riders must have a positive attitude at all times

Registration opens to Members on Feb. 1 2023 and to everyone else on Feb. 15 2023.

Please note: If you purchase a membership to gain access and decide to cancel your event registration, you will retain your membership until the expiration date. We do not refund membership purchases. Membership must be purchased before the registration to gain member benefits as it relates to registration. 

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP: Grants early access/pricing for tour registration as well as member benefits under LMB’s Cancellation and Refund Policy for a single tour registrant.

HOUSEHOLD MEMBERSHIP: Grants early access/pricing for tour registration as well as member benefits under LMB’s Cancellation and Refund Policy for multiple tour registrants within a single household that are tied to the membership account.

In other words: an individual membership will give you early access and more flexible refund options, but just for a single registrant – if more than one person from your household is taking part in the tour, you’ll want a Household membership! Check your membership type at our member portal and upgrade to Household if needed.
