We could not have asked for better weather on Saturday, October 11, 2008.  That's probably why we had a record turnout of 820 participants for Colorburst 2008.  Due to the large crowd we ran out of some food items.  We are already working hard to ensure that this doesn't happen again in 2009.  We are so happy that so many people were able to come out and enjoy the ride.  Thank you so much for coming and an extra big THANK YOU! to all of our wonderful volunteers.

Colorburst 2008 raised over $14,000.00 for our worthy charitable organizations.  At the February Rapid Wheelmen meeting we were pleased to present checks to individuals from these organizations:

$500.00:  Students Against Destructive Decisions - Lowell High School
$1000.00:  National Ride of Silence
$4860.67:  MADD-Kent County
$3860.67: West Michigan Trails and Greenways Coalition
$643.44: Cedar Springs Police Department
$643.44:  Kent County Sheriff Department
$643.44:  Sparta Police Department
$643.44:  Rockford Police Department
$643.45:  Kentwood Police Department
$643.45:  Lowell Police Department
