Sign up for the Michigan Bicycle Summit, March 27, 9 AM to 4 PM at Peckham Industries, next to the Lansing airport. Andy Clarke, Executive Director of the League of American Bicyclists, will be the Summit's keynote speaker. Chris Phelan, founder of the Ride of Silence, will be a special guest.

The theme of this year's Summit is "Providing Tools for a Brighter Bicycling Future in Michigan." Particicpants can choose from among 12 different workshops covering such topics as: Complete Streets, Bikeability Assessments, Bike Shops' Role in Advocacy, and Bicycling and the Law.

The registration fee of $40 per person ($65 for exhibitors) includes all materials, lunch and snacks. Go to lmb.org to register or learn more.

I've created a new webpage where we can post ride maps for club rides. They could be useful as a way to get a map to a substitute RC, or if you're just looking for a good ride in an unfamiliar part of town.

Volunteer Committee Chairs needed for 2010.

We need you to to help make Colorburst 2010 a great event. You can volunteer to head up a committee of volunteers in charge of a specific task for Colorburst. The jobs have been broken up into manageable tasks to spread the work out so that no one is overwhelmed by their task.

Guidance will be provided and you can carry on the proud tradition of the Colorburst Tour -- one of the largest bicycle tours in West Michigan.
