The day of competition is affiliated with the MBRA Road Race series, attracts more than 200 racers, and offers $5,000 in cash prizes. Races begin at 8 a.m. on a 1.1-mile circuit around WMU's College of Engineering and Applied Sciences in the Business Technology and Research Park. The circuit features three 90-degree and multiple sweeping turns that excite spectators, as well as racers.
Gift cards valued at $25 will be awarded to the first 25 new cyclists to register for the race. All returning cyclists who register will be entered into a drawing to receive a $100 Visa gift card, courtesy of Discover Kalamazoo.
