“Frosted Fat Tire”
Fat Bike Relay Race Day Details:
The racer that starts the race may be able to ride for 5 laps, as they tire, they will head for their Exchange Zone, to slap their teammates hand to switch riders, as they recover for their next effort. Yes, it is a sprint, use your energy wisely, as you will be needed throughout the race to put out efforts that will challenge your fitness, but the whole team will need to be used strategically to finish the race.
• Saturday, January 20th, 2018
• Women will race first, beginning at 10:00am. 4 woman teams, will race 50 laps for 25 miles around the ½ mile track. That’s only 6.25 miles per woman. (Maximum of 40 female teams )
• Men will begin after the women finish at approximately 1:30pm. 4 man teams will race 100 laps for 50 miles on the same ½ mile course. Yes, that is only 12.5 miles per man. (The men’s race will be limited to the first 40 teams.)
