LMB is pleased to announce Rolling Forward: Michigan Bicycle Conference, coming to Grand Rapids June 1-2, 2018. Rolling Forward is presented in partnership with the City of Grand Rapids, the Greater Grand Rapids Bicycle Coalition, the Michigan Department of Transportation, Michigan State University, and the Office of Highway Safety Planning.
The conference planning committee is currently seeking ideas for conference topics and is accepting proposals now through Friday, January 12, 2018. Proposals for guest speakers for the general session or for workshop sessions should focus on improving the state of bicycling in Michigan and be applicable to a wide range of bicycle safety representatives and professionals. Additionally, topics should differ from the presentations at the 2016 Michigan Bicycling Conference. You can review the agenda from the 2016 Conference here.
Bicycle advocates, cycling clubs, urban planners, drivers ed professionals, local government officials, and other members/friends of the bicycling community are encouraged to submit speaker ideas for both workshops and general sessions. The planning committee will use the submissions to develop a robust agenda. We aim to address a diverse group of topics, each related to promoting a safer bicycling culture and experience in Michigan.
Applicants will be notified by email about the selection results. The roster of speakers and topics is scheduled to be announced in February.
Further conference information, including registration details, will be available on this page in early 2018, please check back for updates!
