Section 10k ActionThank you, thank you, thank you!

A HUGE THANK YOU to all LMB members and supporters who mobilized today to oppose efforts to eliminate the long-standing provision in Act 51requiring that Michigan road agencies spend a portion of their transportation funds on walking and biking projects. We are pleased to share that late this afternoon, HB 4954 was pulled from the agenda of tomorrow's Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. This means they will not take testimony or vote on the bill tomorrow as we originally expected. This is in large part due to your swift action! We will keep you posted on this issue if further action is needed.

In the meantime, please be sure to sign our other action alerts in support of our 5-foot passing bill package and legislation to clarify that bicycle racks do not constitute an obstruction to a license plate. We are making great progress on both issues and with your continued support, we are confident we can get these bills to the Governor's desk!

Your financial support will is also greatly appreciated and will allow us to keep the pressure up on all of these important issues. Please consider investing in our advocacy work to make Michigan a more bicycle friendly state by donating today. We can't do it without you. Thank you again!
