SIlver-BellsLMB is once again sponsoring a bicycle-themed "float" in the annual Silver Bells Electric Light Parade to be held November 17th at 6 pm. We are inviting cyclists from across the state to light up their bikes and join us for this annual celebration in downtown Lansing.

Come riding your favorite bike decked out in all the battery-powered lights you can find! They're available at most stores these days for less than $10 per string. This year, we are holding nothing back, we encourage everyone to pull out all the stops and make this the brightest year yet by decorating your bicycle with as many lights as possible!

Please help us spread the word about this fun and festive event. Please RSVP to the Facebook event to give us an idea of how many bicyclists will be joining us.

The parade starts at 6:00 pm sharp, but we welcome you to join us in our new space (410 S. Cedar St. Suite A, Lansing, MI 48012) for beverages and light appetizers from 4:00-5:30, and then will ride the few blocks to the staging area together. After the parade, you are welcome back to LMB for more fun and holiday festivities!

The staging area for our entry is the east side of the 500 block of S. Washington St., south of Hillsdale St. We will be on the east side of the street this year. Cyclists should arrive before 5:45. Come early to finish decorating your bikes while visiting with fellow bicyclists.

Rider Tip: Consider riding a bicycle with a quick release seat post so you can easily lower it just before the parade. The pace of the parade is very slow with frequent stops. Lowering your seat so your feet can touch the ground will help you keep your balance and allow you to "shuffle" along at the parade's slow pace.
