Bryan is a lawyer and a cyclist. He has litigated cases in over 40 jurisdictions and has been an advocate for cyclists for over 20 years. In 2013, he received LMB's Bicycle Advocate Award. Bryan is the author of A Legal Handbook for Michigan Cyclists and frequently speaks to cycling clubs and organizations about bicycle laws. His law firm has also co-sponsored bike helmet events since 2003, which have resulted in over 5,500 Michigan children being fitted and given helmets. Bryan is also a licensed and competitive bicycle racer and participates in road races, criteriums, and cyclocross races. However, he enjoys the use of his bicycle in every form including social rides, touring, commuting to work, and trips to the grocery store.
