I am excited to serve on the League of Michigan Bicyclists' Board. Over the last three years I have developed networks of involvement in bicycle advocacy as a board member and former Vice President of the Greater Grand Rapids Bicycle Coalition. As a volunteer I developed methods for a bicycle count in the City of Grand Rapids and currently chair the Active Commute Week Committee which promotes and offers events for Bike to Work Week each May. I attended the Lucinda Means Bicycle Advocacy Day in Lansing as a representative of the coalition lobbying for policies which allow bikes on trains and alternative right turn hand signals. I look forward to the possibility of continuing relationship building and advocating for bicycling infrastructure and supportive policy at the State level.
