I am honored to join the League of Michigan Bicyclists Board of Directors. Working to promote cycling at the state and local level is among my top priorities and I'm anxious to use my professional skills as a grassroots organizer and digital strategist to further LMB's goals. While living in Washington, DC my bicycles were not only my primary mode of transportation but they also exposed me to a healthy, happy way of life. I spent four years as a bicycle messenger, where I not only honed my skills on the bicycle but I made connections with cyclists and advocates around the world. In 2008 I was appointed to chair the DC Bicycle Advisory Council where I served as an advisor to city council and worked with city agencies to address critical issues on safety, education, and infrastructure. Now that I'm back in my home state, I look forward to working with community members, lawmakers, local businesses, transportation, and police departments, and developers to increase opportunities and safety for cycling in Michigan.
