Experience the Great Lakes by Kayak


MUP Bicycle Tour Kayaking

See more of what northern Michigan has to offer, hosted by Woods & Water Ecotours! Tours have filled up in the past, so reserve your spot today. All reservations are on a first come, first serve basis. These trips are meant to be easygoing and relaxed. Each session is limited to 12 people, with four solo kayaks and four tandem kayaks available. Enjoy yourself!

For those who register, there will be a brief meeting on Sunday night, after the orientation.

Sault Ste Marie (layover day)

Starting from Rotary Park on the east side of Sault Ste Marie, explore a series of quiet and secluded islands. Listen for the rumble of giant freighters as they make their way up and down the St. Mary's River, and explore protected channels and shorelines as you meander through the passages. Cost: $45 per person.

Session 1: 10:00am - 12:30pm
Session 2: 12:30 - 3:00pm
Session 3: 3:00 - 5:30pm

De Tour Village

Starting from the public marina in the small village of De Tour, paddle along the quiet shores where the St. Mary's River meets with Lake Huron. Catch sight of green Drummond Island, and maybe even spot freighters as they cruise onward to Lake Superior. A nice way to wrap up a day of scenic riding. Cost: $45 per person.

Session 4: 7:00 - 9:00pm
