Easy Riders August - October 2009 Ride Schedule

It is wise to let the ride leader know if you are coming. People who have RSVP'd will be notified if a ride is cancelled for whatever reason. If no one has RSVP'd, ride leader may change plans for the day.

Rides are 10-12 miles/hour with water breaks every 5 miles. Rides leave promptly so arrive early if you wish to stretch, visit, pump up tires, etc.

Tuesday and Wednesday morning rides start at 9 AM at Ghesquire Park Baseball Diamond Parking lot on Jackson at Kenmore, behind the Grosse Pointe Woods City Hall. The entrance to the park: Take Kenmore Drive off Mack to Jackson, turn left to the parking lot.

Thursday evening rides begin at 6:00 PM now that the daylight hours will be getting shorter. The ride starts at the Harper Woods Library's parking lot. The lot is at the south end of the Harper Woods Municipal Complex on the west side of I-94.

Club meetings are held at Salter Park in Harper Woods, which is on the east side of I-94, just beyond the church and school complex at Bournemouth. The meetings are held in the one-story building on the far side of the parking lot. These meetings are picnic meetings. Hot dogs or pizza are served. Bring your plate, utensils, beverage and a favorite dish to pass.

Tuesday September 8 General Meeting Bring a vegetable or fruit dish, perhaps a dessert, to compliment the pizza to be provided. 7:00 PM. Board Meeting before at 6:30 PM. Last meeting of the season.

September 12, 13 Weekend ride The weekend ride will start in Belleville and include the bike trails in Lower Huron, Willow, and Oakwoods Metro Parks. Saturday we will do 36-40 miles, with many shorter options if you can't go that far. Lunch at McNasty's Tavern in New Boston. Dinner at 7 PM Saturday evening at Johnny's on the Lake at 146 High Street in Belleville, a lovely spot right on Belleville Lake. We will do a ride from the motel on Sunday. The motel is a Super 8, with continental breakfast included for a mere $60.99. 734-699-1888 Reserve your room by August 22 to insure your spot. We have set them aside in the name of “Easy Riders”. Sunday, September 27 Rochester Ride. Meet at Rochester Municipal Park 9:30AM. Directions: take I-75 to Rochester Rd to University, west on University to Ludlow, north on Ludlow to Park. Saturday, Oct. 17 10:00 AM St. Clair Shores ride 9:30 AM. Meet at the corner of Love and Share where we will do likewise (the Clark home at 21213 Share). Weather permitting Frank & Gloria will have a Brot & Kraut Party in the yard after ride. Bring your own drinks, and a dish to pass or check with Gloria about helping with supplies. RSVP 586 293 4858

Sun. Oct. 25th 2 PM Fall Finale. Meet in the public parking lot at Mack and Anita (one block north of Vernier). We will eat at Ferlito's afterward, about 4 PM, (20745 Mack Ave.)

Tuesday, Oct. 27th / Wednesday, Oct. 28th 10 AM last official ride of the season.
